Changes A Foot

The double depth bed isn't working right, it is lined with weed membrane to hold the soil, as it stands on concert,  isn't draining well and the base of the bed is constantly wet from the rain.
We will empty the soil and move the beds into the ploy-tunnel, which I hope will be up  and ready to go by Spring.
Can't wait to see what this will look like, what can be grown in it and how much we can extend the growing season.  I think it is like the one below, not sure it has been the garage waiting to go up.  Been a busy year with our 'Bit of a Do', in August.

New Start

Well my allotment had to go, not enough time to keep it the way needed, also not ready to garden the way it was wanted on the site. Raised beds and organic not the order of the day. Sad Day.
Not all bad news - this happened at the same time we had to have a very large Silver Birch down in the back garden, which while sad in it's self opened up the garden to the light and made it possible to grow vegetables.
Putting the three wooden raised beds in place - (these were brought of the allotment) gave me the opportunity to plant all the plants that were due to be planted out.
